Thank you thank you!

I feel like I just stumbled upon this world, and I am sure career authors and editors will read this and be like "duh" or even "hmm that's not quite right," but I wanted to share my experience to hopefully take away some of the mystery around this world!

I'm definitely not one of those career authors or editors and always wondered about this (as someone who hopes to tip toe into this space!!). So thanks for sharing even though it seemed like a "duh" topic. Just finished reading and I LOVED it. Good work!

I really love this! It so scary to feel compelled to do something that you don’t think you have the tools to do. This really motivates me to just try anyway and figure it out as I go. I can get so bogged down in the details and feeling like an imposter. So happy for you and saved your publication to read later! 😇

So glad you enjoyed this one and I hope it’s helpful! It really is scary to dive in — I’ve felt so lost and often have caught myself almost quitting, saying “what’s the point?”.

But if I don’t do something, nothing is going I happen. If I do it, the worse case is that nothing is going to happen — but something also might!

No imposters here — we all deserve to be here and be as creative as we want to be, wherever we want to be!

Yes, it's really helpful to hear this from the perspective of someone also sort of green to the whole process. I also need the "duh" spelled out, and we shouldn't be afraid to admit it. How can you know all of the details for something you are new to, and on the other hand, why should that stop you from trying too? "What's the point?" is so real...like what could I possibly add to the conversation, but the answer is clearly plenty!

I have also really adopted this mindset. There is so much to be said about just trying and putting yourself out there. I feel so silly sometimes drafting these emails and sending them out, but who knows when someone might bite!

SO true, so true. I needed this reminder! I think I create imaginary gatekeepers in my head because it can be easier than moving through the fear, but no more of that!
